Family lore runs deep and I’ve spent many years digging up roots and stories from as many people as I can. Thanks to all my aunts, uncles, and cousins who have shared their precious stories with me, and special thanks to Ma Willie & Pawpaw Dave for handing down all this family history, my aunt Earnestine Carter/Durden known as the “hall of records” whose memory is truly remarkable, and uncles David Jr and Tyrone Tyson for their continued input to this research.
